1. Introduction

Intolermi ("the App," "we," "us") is a food reaction symptom history tool designed to help users organize and communicate their food-related symptom history to qualified healthcare providers. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights with respect to that information.

Please read this policy carefully before using the App. By using Intolermi, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Health & Symptom Data (Stored Locally Only)

The App collects the following categories of information that you voluntarily enter:

- Food selections — the foods you identify as causing reactions

- Symptom responses — your answers to structured diagnostic questions including symptom type, onset timing, severity, and frequency

- Contextual information — whether symptoms occur outside of eating, with non-food triggers, or in association with cofactors such as exercise or medications

- Self-reported medical history — prior conditions you have been told about or tested for (e.g., iron-deficiency anemia, osteoporosis, dermatitis herpetiformis), entered voluntarily to assist in pattern identification

- Free-text notes — optional descriptions of symptoms or triggers that do not match the structured answer choices

All of this data is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. It is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, database, or third party under any circumstances.

2.2 Biometric Authentication Data

If you choose to enable Face ID or Touch ID in Settings, the App uses Apple's `LocalAuthentication` framework to verify your identity. The App does not access, store, or transmit your biometric data at any point. All biometric processing is handled entirely by iOS and remains on your device.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

- Your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information

- Device identifiers, advertising IDs (IDFA), or IP addresses

- Location data

- Usage analytics or behavioral telemetry

- Crash logs or diagnostic reports transmitted off-device

- Any data through third-party SDKs, analytics libraries, or advertising frameworks

3. How We Use Your Information

Because all data remains on your device, we do not use your health data for any purpose other than generating the symptom history report displayed within the App. We do not process, analyze, or monetize your data.

The report generated by the App is intended solely to help you communicate your self-reported symptom history to a licensed healthcare provider. It is not used for research, marketing, or any other purpose.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not share, sell, rent, lease, or disclose your information to any third party for any reason. There is no backend infrastructure associated with this App. Data cannot be shared by us because we never receive it.

The only sharing that occurs is when you choose to export your report as a PDF and share it with a healthcare provider using iOS's built-in Share Sheet. This sharing is entirely under your control and initiated by you.

5. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored on-device using Apple's SwiftData framework, protected by iOS's standard device encryption. We recommend that you:

- Keep your device up to date with the latest iOS security patches

- Use a strong device passcode

- Enable the optional biometric lock feature within the App

We do not have access to your data and cannot recover it if your device is lost, reset, or damaged.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your symptom sessions remain on your device until you delete them within the App (swipe to delete on the Past Reports screen) or until you delete the App itself. Deleting the App removes all associated data from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Intolermi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has entered information into the App, you can delete all data by removing the App from the device.

8. Not a Medical Device

Intolermi is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. The App is a symptom history organizational tool only. Nothing in the App constitutes medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider regarding any health concerns.

9. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with, use, or communicate with any third-party services, APIs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud providers. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or account systems.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Because Intolermi does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information from users (all data remains exclusively on your device), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) rights of access, deletion, and opt-out of sale do not apply in the traditional sense — there is no personal information for us to provide, delete, or restrict, as we never receive it.

11. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

Similarly, because no personal data is transmitted to or processed by us, Intolermi does not act as a data controller or data processor under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). All data processing occurs locally on your device and is entirely under your control.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of this document with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
